Hey everyone, Jessy here.
I have had a few emails about some problems with bandbox. Other than Itunes, Amazon MP3 and ordering the physical through Storenvy, I put up the bandbox as a service so that I could get the emails to send out the free TGC album. But half the emails never came and I’m a bit frustrated with the way bandbox is working right now. So I am going to pull it from the page and replace it with the Nimbit box because that has been running very smoothly so far. A few suggestions for alternative services to make our music available were sent my way from fans and I am currently checking into those, thank you. For now we will just have the Nimbit up and then, like I said, the other online options such as Itunes, Amzon etc., are still available.
Also, if anyone internationally ordered the record last week and received a refund, I am terribly sorry about that. There were a few problems with the international section of our Storenvy account but they are all fixed. So if you got refunded and still wish to purchase a physical album, then you can go ahead and reorder.
If you already ordered a physical album, I have been hearing from most that they have received them, that makes me proud cause I literally packed the envelopes and shipped them myself. Anyone who says being in a band is for lazy people is full of it. But if you have not received your physical copy, it should arrive soon, I meet with the post office guys in my hometown movie theater parking lot and put them on the trucks so I am making new friends.
The Gloomcatcher physical is still a few weeks out from being printed so it will be a bit still.
Some of you are unsure of why the physical is missing a song called “Witches Blossom”. The song just so happens to be about the witch in the story. And it just so happens that it didn’t appear on some of the physicals. It went to print and mysteriously a few of them came back without it. Thus making the full album list 28 instead of 29, or the second volume 11 instead of 12. Welcome to the The River Empires, you decided for yourself to enter our world, and confusion is only the beginning. The song, in many ways, has a mind of it’s own. We cannot control it. If you want the song you can download it for free on our myspace on a mystery date that I will reveal in a few days, keep checking back for that date. But I am warning you, the song does what it wants, so download it at your own risk.
Okay, last thing for now. I have had some emails about lyrics. Would everyone want me to post them on the website soon, or wait a few weeks for some illustrations to go along with them? Let me know cause I want to shed light on some of the story yet at the same time I am into the illustration thing cause that’s just rad.
Will those who ordered through the Bandbox option still be able to get The Gloom Catcher download? Do we need to e-mail you our digital receipt or something of that sort? Also, I would rather have the illustrations with the lyrics. I think we can all wait a little longer.
One last thing, is it possible to purchase the demo version of “A Dimmer Lux” that was on the myspace roughly 2 years ago? There was something about that version that I loved that made it seem so raw and real, not that the album version isn’t, but that the demo had a little extra rawness to it. If not, no worries. Figured I’d ask. Thanks for everything!
I agree with the “waiting a little longer” idea. I’d like to see both the lyrics and illustrations at the same time. Adds to the full experience.

You people are crazy. I would drown someone for the lyrics to The Curse.
But if it’s important for conceptual integrity to have the illustrations, then rock on. We’ll wait.

I’m one of those without “Witches Blossom,” too. I would love a free download, though. Lyrics, definitely! It’s the whole reason I bought the physical album. Illustrations? Definitely again.

I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the lyrics, but I’d rather wait for the illustrations. Also, I REALLY love the instrumental piece from the TRE record trailer on youtube. What are the chances of that being made available for download?

Hey, I purchased the Itunes copy of The River Empires and I was wondering when “The Gloomcatcher” would be available for purchase on Itunes, especially since this site here states that it was supposed to be available a week ago?
I think Jesse said something about that. It is really up to iTunes. Whenever they get around to putting things up is when they do, this happens a lot with indie artists because iTunes isn’t so worried about their release dates.

Jessy, both TRE and TGC albums are awesome. I plan to purchase a hardcopy of TGC album now. I would go for a hardcopy of TRE album that includes Witches Blossom.
Yeah I already got the hard copy of TRE but if there was any way to ensure it would have ‘Witches Blossom’ I’d get it again.
